The  Commerce  Ministry  has  announced  EXIM  policy on01-04-2001,  with  intention  to  increase  Export  multifold. The  main  features  of  policy  are SEZ  for  Agricultural products. Secondhand  machinery  10  year  old  allowed  to  be  imported freely. 714  items  made  freely  importable  by  removing  QR Many  goods  measures  in  Duty  Exemption  schemes.

Dear  Customer,

Please  refer  to  P.N.32/2001  dt.15-03-01  issued  by  the  Commissioner  of  Customs,  Mumbai. 

As  per  recent  changes  to  be  made  effective  from  1-4-01,it  is  made  compulsory  that  all  importer  and  exporter  should  have  permanent  Income  tax  account  no;  i.e. PAN  number.  The  documentation  work  will  be  accepted  by  Customs  and  other  departments  only  on  the  basis  of  this  PAN  number.  Please,  ensure  that  such  PAN  number  is  appearing  in  your  Import  Export  Code  number  certificate,  and  accordingly  the  Directory  maintained  by  DGFT  office  is  updated.  For  further  details  please  contact  our  office.
